Tribe Forum

Welcome to Tribe Forum Talk. Many of us post our thoughts on cleveland.com/forums/tribe and the discussions are often entertaining and comical. Some Tribe fan have to fend off the trolls from other web-sites.

During the season the forum gets quite out of hand and is more of a sounding board for frustrations or "I told you so's!"

It is during the off-season is where most of the die hard posters live and make arguments. We all get to hear of the great Eric Wedge from Dr.Duckee, who feels such vindication after 2007. We can read post after post from our friend w8tilnxtyr who always has such a unique spin on the Tribe...key word is spin.

Of course, the sun rises early in Maine and Sock Posts until late into the evening. Dgen is usually caught somewhere between supporting the Tribe and predicting the downfall beginning with a blown save from Borowski....

Nime will give us all updates on minor leaguers from all over the world....very good info but sometimes I feel like he's Chris Farley in Waynes World giving all the superflous information that may be used later on.

Sternfan1 will constantly insult the Tribe and compare everything to New York as it the Tribe and Yankees are playing on an even playing field. He even vowed to leave the Chat Room and said his goodbyes, but came right back, which is a good thing for the entertainment value of the forum.

At any rate, I invite the hard core Tribe fans to post there thoughts throughout the winter and to offer comments up. It will a nice record during the year.

Now, I'd like to sign off in my own way without fear of being banned.....

Good Night Rotten Bastards.

Lots of preparation needed for the 2008 campaign. To most serious baseball fans, Borowski was a flimsy closer. The situation in the middle infield needs attention as you have stud like Cabrera out of position now. Jhonny is still a defensive liability despite his good offensive production. Another year of a Wedtge lovefest with Blake getting 500+ AB's. What about LF? Dellucci was a disgrace, how can he replace Lofton in LF?

Should we keep Byrd? I'm neutral in this. He won 15 games last year and his era was still high. He has the taint of the steroid scandal now. His contract is pricey in Dolan dollars for a 4-5 starter. We do have plenty of young arms to replace him but he was a money pitcher in the playoffs. 15 W's and clutch playoff performance is valuable.

An what of CC??? No way Dolan come up with the cheese to sign him. We won't get squat for him either in a trade. Ride him hard next year and kiss him goodbye.

Still not pleased with Willis. He did nothing to help Sowers, Lee or Cabrerra. He did nothing to settle the playoff nerves of CC and Carmona. Let's run this bum outta here and hire a real pitching coach in Mazzone.

I could go on and on. Plenty of work for Shapiro to get busy on. Detroit and NY are hungry to get back to the post season. Next year and every year is an uphill battle.
